4 months ago today, our daughter was stillborn. I wish I had more time to write today, to talk about how deeply I still feel her absence, how painful and yet sometimes empowering the process of healing can be, and how lonely it is on planet My Baby Died.
Yesterday I read a quote on Glow in the Woods, posted by a woman who was 8 years out from the loss of her son. It said, "Your absence runs through me like a thread through a needle, and everything I do is stitched with its color."
I wish she had lived. I wish it so much.
